Hello, my name is Greta. I am around two years old, and I was found wandering alone.
No one came looking for me. I do not remember everything from my past, but I know what fear feels like. I try to be brave, but something about being on a lead makes me panic. Maybe I was never walked before. Maybe something bad happened when I was. Whatever the reason, I find it very hard to cope when I am on one. Some dogs love walks in busy parks or town centres, but that is not the life I am hoping for.
What I truly want — more than anything — is to feel safe. To be close to someone kind. To know that I am loved. I do not need long walks or hours of exercise. I would be happiest in a quiet home with a secure garden, or with visits to a safe field, and a soft sofa where I can curl up beside you. I am not asking for much — just a place where I can finally rest, and someone who will help me feel like I belong.
I do need to be the only pet in the home, but I promise you this: I will give you all the love I have. I may be just one dog, but my heart is full, and it is waiting for someone special. Could that someone be you?
