Frankie is adopted. This is Frankie, a gorgeous Isabella or Fawn and Tan girl who will be 3 in December.
She came to us as she was unwanted. She lived with children but we are unsure of their ages, so aged 9 plus.
She is fine with dogs but has not lived with one. Not known with cats.
Frankie is not a reactive girl and greets everyone with her big happy face.

Frankie’s Assessment
Kennel behaviour
Frankie is keen to exit her kennel and was very reluctant to go back in after her assessment. She was jumping at the front of the kennel and did try to push her way out when the door was opened. Frankie leaves the kennel and is very excited, running around and grabbing at things on shelves. No reaction when passing the other kennels dogs.
Handling
Frankie is happy to be handled once she is calm. No reaction to being handled all over.
Frankie was walked on a slip lead during the assessment. She does pull on the lead but not excessively. This is driven by excitement Once in the secure area Frankie is very excitable and runs around the paddock grabbing at items available. She does respond to her name and will come for a treat but is quick to run off again to find alternative self rewards
Sociability
Frankie was excited to greet me (a stranger to her) and took treats and played with me very quickly. Not observed with men at assessment. No issues shown around other dogs in the kennels or outside. Frankie sat calmly taking treats within the kennel block after she had been out for her assessment. No reaction shown to dogs barking close to her.
Arousal/Reactivity
Please give details of reactivity on a scale of 1 to 5 (where 1 = low & 5 = high)
Reactivity – 2
Frankie is an excitable dog overall. She loves tug toys and tugs hard on them.she is a strong dog! She does mouth up the handle slightly but there is no malice in this. Frankie will swap the tug for a treat and doesn’t snatch it back immediately.
Frankie can jump up people when wanting a treat or to play but quickly gets down when asked to.
Cars and vans passed by on the road near the secure area and she showed no reaction Within the office Frankie was very excited about the toys available and also investigated other items such as a box, a fence, the tea cups in a playful manner. I believe she would find her own play things if nothing was available.
Possession
Frankie loves toys and becomes very excited by them. She plays tug with strength but is willing to swap it for a treat when asked to. She will alternate between toys and treats willingly. No possession issues and toys can be picked up off the floor without her snatching them back
Comments
Frankie is a very excitable girl. She is mischievous and inquisitive about anything and everything. There is no malice whatsoever in her nature and she did show short periods of calm behaviour. I believe with consistent boundaries and training plus regular stimulation and exercise she will be more content and settled.
Frankie had her ears cleaned during the assessment and was really calm throughout this. This girl is going to make a lovely addition to a home. She can be boisterous so I would advise teenage plus if there’s children in the home.
