Roxy is a black and tan spayed bitch, she is 2.5-years old.
Roxy came to us from a family breakdown, she lived with 2 dogs and cats and is used to young children of 5 years old and upwards.
She is a lovely, sweet girl, although she did live with other dogs, she is nervous around them when off lead and gets quite anxious if they come up to her, she will yell and hide behind the handler there is no aggression so with some confidence building training this should improve.
Roxy was assessed by a qualified behaviourist:
Kennel behaviour
Roxy was happy to see us approach the kennel and appeared very social, she did not want to have a headcollar on but was happy with the slip lead. She did not jump up on greeting and walked well out of the kennel area. She showed no reaction to adjacent dogs.
Handling
Roxy showed no reaction to being handled all over, she enjoyed being fussed and enjoyed human contact, she walks well on the lead and did not jump up. Her recall needs some work as she is easily distracted but would return and take a treat.
