Hello, my name is Slinky. I am seven years old, and I have previously been been in another rescue but then my new owner did not have time for me.

But even with all that behind me, I have kept my gentle nature and quiet hope for something better. What I dream of now is a calm, kind home where I can rest, heal, and feel like I truly belong.

I am not a demanding dog. I simply enjoy being near someone who will offer a soft word or a gentle scratch behind my ears. I may not ask for much, but I have so much love to give in return.

I am a smart girl and know many commands. I love using my nose to find hidden treats—it is a little game that brings me joy. I have lived with cats before, and I can be fine with dogs once I have had the time to feel safe around them.

When the world feels a bit too loud or fast, I like to curl up in my crate—it helps me feel safe.

My coat is a little patchy right now. The vets say all my blood tests are normal, so it may be due to poor gut health. I have just started on a probiotic, and I hope it will help me feel better soon.

What I long for is a gentle heart to share my days with. If you can offer a peaceful space and a little patience, I will give you all the quiet love and loyalty I have been saving up for someone special—maybe for you.
