Thank you for thinking about fostering a Dobermann. This form helps us match the right dog with the right foster home.

Thank you for offering a Dobermann a safe, temporary home — it is one of the most valuable things you can do for our rescue.

Fosters are for a maximum of 6 months. There are no wrong answers and no judgement. It takes about 10–15 minutes and there are 8 short sections. If a question doesn’t apply to you, just say so.

Once you’ve applied, we’ll be in touch for a friendly chat and, later, a home visit.

2. The dog you’re hoping to foster

Tell us who you’re looking for so we can find your match. Most of this is optional — “no preference” is a perfectly good answer.

We’ll always be honest about what each dog can offer. Dogs who’ve spent a while in kennels sometimes need their house-training refreshed, so a little patience helps.

8. Foster terms & commitment

Please read these terms carefully before you apply.

Fosters are for a maximum of 6 months. DRUE will:

  • Supply or fund food for the Dog.
  • Cover the cost of approved veterinary treatment.
  • Provide support and advice to the Fosterer.
  • Retain ownership and make all final decisions regarding the Dog’s care.
