Dave is a wonderfully affectionate 6-year-old gentleman (turning 7 this September) who came into our care through no fault of his own. Neutered and thoroughly charming, he wins the hearts of everyone he meets.

When it comes to other animals, Dave is a superstar—he is fantastic with both dogs and cats and shows zero reactivity. He is also great with people and has successfully lived with children aged 8 and older.

Dave is a gentle, slightly sensitive soul who carries a little anxiety from his past, meaning he can be a bit nervous in new situations. He is still learning his lead manners and tends to pull, but he is incredibly responsive and will easily overcome this with some patient, reward-based training.

In the home, Dave is relaxed enough to be left alone for short periods, but he does possess a cheeky, inquisitive side. He is quite the food opportunist, so his new family will need to keep kitchen worktops clear and ensure bins are tucked securely out of sight—otherwise, he will gladly inspect them for snacks the moment your back is turned!

Car journeys aren’t Dave’s favorite pastime just yet. He experiences some travel anxiety and must be crated while in the vehicle to keep him safe, as he will chew if left loose. On longer trips, he may whine on and off initially, but he does settle down once he finds his rhythm.

Dave has so much love to give and just needs a patient family to help his confidence. If you feel you can offer this lovely boy his true forever home, please get in touch by filling out an application form.
