Meet Dennis – our newest arrival who desperately needs your help This sweet boy was found as a stray in a really poor state. His body is covered in small patches of hair loss and scabby, red skin, and he was crawling with fleas when he arrived. We’re started the careful process of treating his skin and getting him comfortable again.
Dennis is only around 12–18 months old – you can still see that youthful sparkle in his eyes and those lovely white teeth. At just 26 kg he’s underweight and needs to put on a few pounds, but he’s already showing what a soft, friendly soul he is. He’s a little nervous around other dogs (he quietly tries to move away when they bark), yet with people he’s an absolute sweetheart. After a short while he was happy to lean in for fuss and a gentle back scratch. He’s polite on the lead, no trouble in the kennels, and loves pottering about sniffing everything – a proper curious, gentle boy who’s been through far more than any young dog should.
We’re determined to get Dennis healthy, treat whatever is causing his skin problems, build up his weight and confidence, and find him the loving forever home he deserves. But veterinary care, flea treatment, skin medication, good food and everything else he needs all cost money – and as a small rescue we rely entirely on kind people like you.
