Storm

Storm is a striking young Dobermann with a lot of heart and a lot of energy. She is happy, playful and excitable, loves attention, lights up for a game with a ball, and — like any proper adolescent — has the occasional case of the zoomies.

She has not had as much chance to get out and experience the world as a dog her age should have, so she can look nervous at first. What stood out in her assessment is how confidently she coped once she was out walking. Traffic, noise and workmen did not seem to bother her. There is a brilliant dog here, waiting to blossom with the right person beside her.

She is still very much an adolescent. She can become over-excited and frustrated, pulls on the lead, and showed some resource guarding during her assessment. She needs a confident, physically capable owner who will keep working with her using positive, reward-based training. The good news is that she is motivated by both food and toys, which gives her new family a strong foundation to build on.

Storm has been bored, frustrated and short of the stimulation a young dog like her desperately needs. With structure, patience, exercise and positive training, she has a great deal of potential.
