Brando isn’t even two years old yet and he’s had quite the journey so far as we shall explain.
- Brando is an entire cropped and docked male.
- He needs to be an only pet for the time being. This may change in the right home after he has received some training.
- Brando is said to be toilet trained in the house and sleeps through the night on his bed.
- He can be left up to 4 hours without any issues.
- He loves a fuss and is an affectionate boy.
- Brando travels well in the car.
Brando is a Russian import who was kept in an outside kennel until the age of 14 months and so he missed out on vital socialisation in his early months. He was bought by a couple who had him for 6 months before they brought him to us as they didn’t feel they could physically offer him what he needed. He was a much loved pet and it was a very hard decision.
Brando was re-homed by us a few weeks ago but unfortunately his new family didn’t feel they could offer him what he needed either, but again he was very much loved by everyone in the house.
So, what does Brando need?
He needs an experienced owner who can work through his fear and stress when he sees other dogs. He can be reactive towards other dogs, but this probably stems from a couple of attacks while he was on is lead and the lack of socialisation in his early life. We know that it’s possible for him to walk alongside other dogs as he used to walk with Enya when he was first with us so he needs someone loving and patient who can continue working with him to build his confidence and put boundaries and training in place for him.
